About me
On my mother’s side of the family, going back many generations, many of my relatives were (and some still are) traditional doctors and I learnt many different massage techniques from them as I was growing up.
When I was a teenager I nearly moved away from massage and began to believe that painkillers were the quickest way to deal with aches and pains as massage obviously took longer. People often use the excuse that they don’t have time for massage in these modern times where everyone wants a quick result.
I did however change this view after watching my mother use Traditional Thai Yoga Massage to help my father recover from a heart attack and regain mobility of his limbs after suffering a stroke and within week he was walking again. My mother has been using herbs and massage for over half a century and she still continues to give my father massages with heated Thai herbal compresses to this day. In Thailand, as well as more traditional medicine, Traditional Thai Yoga Massage is one of the treatment options we consider to be superior to conventional medicine and therapy. Traditional Thai Yoga Massage has been found to be particularly helpful to those who have MS or have suffered a stroke and in Thailand it is often recommended in preference to conventional treatment of these conditions. It is also proven to be very effective in treating back pain, sciatica, neck and shoulder pain, knee pain, headaches, asthma, general fatigue, menstrual difficulties and many other ailments.
